Lexiti - How to Build a Chronology Using Magic Timeline

Magic Timeline is an AI-powered tool that automatically analyses your documents to extract key events and dates. It organises this information into a clear chronological timeline, helping you quickly understand the sequence of relevant events.

 

  1. Go to the Chronologies page, then click Create a Chronology.

  2. Select Magic Timeline.

  3. Enter a Name for your Chronology and click Next.

  4. To upload new files, click Add Files and select the files from your computer, or drag and drop them into the upload box.

  5. To use existing documents from your workspace, click or select existing docs.

  6. Select the files you would like to include and click Next.

  7. If you have chosen to upload new documents, the system will begin uploading them.

  8. Enter a clear description to guide the AI in identifying relevant events within your documents, then click Next.

  9. A progress bar will appear while events are being extracted. This may take some time depending on the number of documents. You can leave the process running and return to it later.

     

  10. Once event extraction is complete, the system will open your Chronology. You can review, add, or remove events as needed.
