      How to Compress a Folder Using 7-Zip Utility

      7-Zip is a free file archive software that can be used to compress a large unwieldy dataset into a smaller and more manageable file called an archive. You must download and install 7-Zip in order to action the following.

      You can download the 7-Zip utility from https://www.7-zip.org/.  

      1. To begin, find and right-click the folder you would like to compress.

      2. Next, select 7-Zip from the context menu. Then click 'Add to "Folder name.zip"'. to compress this folder.

      3. When 7-Zip has finished compressing your file, a new file with the same folder name will appear in your documents area.
