# Lexiti - How to Use Document Search Bar
## The Document Search Bar lets you search for documents by typing your own search formula directly into a text field.

1. Click **Search**.
2. Click the **Document Search Bar**.
3. Type your search formula into the search bar. You can add your own search formulas in this field. For guidance on how to construct a search formula, refer to the [**Search Syntax for the Document Search Bar**](https://help.safelinkhub.com/document-search-bar?hsLang=en) help article
4. Click **Search**.
5. The system will find and display your search results. Search statistics and a matched breakdown are displayed on the right.
